A silver plate, double candle holder joined by a horse bit detail.  This wonderful equestrian themed piece was made by the luxury French atelier; Hermès.  The company introduced a large variety of equestrian themed items for the home and person which link back to the company's original horse riding equipment manufacturing. 

A large horse bit detail joins both, more classically designed, candle stick bases.  Each base has a lip, and a cup around it to collect any run off wax.  Each candle holder is 0.85 inches across and can take this size candle, or smaller

The candle holder is signed "Hermès Paris" along with the maker mark for Ravinet D'Enfert.  D'Enfert made the majority of the larger homeware pieces for Hermès in the mid to late part of the 20th Century.  The item is presented in good, original condition, and are of the quality and beauty one would come to expect.  perfect for a table center piece, or on a mantle.  Made in France, circa 1980's.
